Companion Sliders

Companion Sliders are Fifth Wheel Hitch Accessories which make it possible to move the point of the hitch. Moving the hitch point allows for greater maneuverability. The slider is removable so your truck bed is clear when you are not towing.

Front Mount Receiver Hitches

Front Mounted Hitches are ideal for the tow vehicles we love to take with us on the road. When we are visiting certain cities, towns, or trails it is best not to have to drive down these narrow roads with our trailer or RV’s. Front mounted hitches are installed on your tow vehicle to make hooking them up a snap.

Towbars

Tow bars connect the RV to tow vehicles. With simple hitch mounting in the towing vehicle, the other contact points simply attach to the front of the tow vehicle. Additional hardware might be necessary to provide contact points.

Trailer Hitches

By far the most common type of truck towing necessity, and not all trucks are sold with one. Cliff’s can install the hitch receiver and get you a stinger so you can handle all of your towing needs that require a ball hitch.

Gooseneck Hitches

Gooseneck hitches are the serious towing and trailering choice. Many agricultural trailers and livestock trailers utilize this type of hitch to help distribute the weight of the trailer between both axles of the vehicle. This also allows the overall weight of the trailer to be considerably higher than simply hooking up a ball hitch at the rear of your truck.

Weight Distribution Hitches

Weight distribution hitches help maximize the weight you can carry on a standards rear hitch. They help compensate for sag at the rear of the truck which improves handling, steering, braking, and can help alleviate sway control.

Specialized Trailer Hitch Installation

These hitches are purpose built for specialized equipment, trailers, and heavy-load towing.  If you tow a 5th wheel, work in agriculture, or have a business where you tow heavy equipment you likely need one of these types of hitches for towing your trailer or equipment.  Whether its the for towing to the job site or for the journey of your life, we have you covered.

Weight Distribution Hitches

Weight distribution hitches distribute the weight of the tongue over the trailer and towing vehicle. These hitches are hitch attachments that are able to be inserted into a class 3, 4, or 5 tube opening. Distribution hitches use spring bars to distribute the weight. Not using a weight distribution hitch while carrying heavy loads can make the front tires of your vehicle to lose sensitivity and steering control.

Gooseneck Hitch Installation

Gooseneck hitches are very similar to the style and function on 5th wheel hitches, although, have a higher load capacity up to 30,000lbs (GTW). These types of hitches are mostly made for pickup trucks where they place the tongue weight lightly in front of the rear axle of the truck. Unlike 5th wheel, gooseneck allow for easy access of the truck bed while the trailer isn’t hitched.

5th Wheel Hitch Installation

Fifth wheel hitches are heavy duty hitches that are mostly used with pickup trucks.  These hitches have a towing weight limit of 16-25,000lbs and are mostly used for towing heavy loads like car haulers or campers. It’s normally mounted in front or over the rear axle and has a similar design that commercial rigs have. Many models of the 5th wheel hitch have the capability to absorb minor bumps on the road.

Pintle Hitch Type Installation

Pintle hitches use a hook-and-loop mechanism and are made up of a lunette eye that is secured on the trailer, while the hook is mounted on the vehicle. The towing capacity of pintle hitches is 60,000lbs (GTW) with a max tow capacity of 60,000lbs. More importantly, It should be noted that this will vary from model to model and will  be determined based on the type of vehicle.

Bumper Hitches

Bumper hitches are those that have a ball that goes through the back bumper of your truck.  These ball hitches allow towing of lite loads and are fairly inexpensive to install.  They make the perfect addition for your truck if you plan to only tow light weight loads and won’t need to hook up to heavier trailers or do serious towing.

Front Mount Hitches

Front mount hitches are used with specific SUV, Truck and Van vehicles. They come with the same 2″ x 2″ opening and have a load capacity of 5,000lbs. These types of hitches allow for installing your cargo carrier in the front of your vehicle, leaving you space on the back of the automobile for other towing needs.
